Controllers on the floor will ruin GTA VI launch night

Be honest. How many DualSenses are on the floor right now.
That is the detail that makes a gaming room feel temporary even when the TV is nice. Guests see it on launch night. You step on it mid-mission. The charge cable migrates back onto the desk every evening of the first week.

Why the floor becomes the default
Drawers hide pads and kill charge. Couch cushions eat them. Desk surface turns into a graveyard by Thursday. Floor is the lazy middle nobody planned, and it looks worse the night friends show up for GTA VI.
Fix is a parking spot faster than the floor. End of the stand-up motion. Reach, click, empty hands.
Beside the display works. Beside the sofa arm works. Random blank wall across the room does not. Distance matters more than aesthetics when the invite is for midnight.
Tower if you cannot drill
Renting or hate anchors? Vertical tower on a shelf corner. Same idea. Pads slide in by feel. Desk stays clear. Couch spare has a home while someone else is driving.

Headset hangs with them or on its own stand. Anything that lives on the wood every session needs a named spot before launch week chaos.
Cable that always comes back
The charge cable returns to the surface unless one end parks at the mount or in a tray. Coil once. Stop fishing under the desk while a cutscene rolls.

Checklist
- Count every pad and headset in the room.
- Pick one home within arm reach of where you sit for the game.
- Mount or tower them today, not “the weekend before November.”
- Park the charge cable end.
- Next evening, whatever is on the floor again gets a better home tomorrow.
Next step
Get stuff off the floor before you buy another light. The room looks launch-ready the moment the rug is clear.
